Media holds the bytes, their metadata, their scan state, their derivatives and who may read them. What it does not hold is any idea of what a file is *for*: it never interprets an owner reference, and does not know what an organisation, a page or a project is.

By keeping the service modular with only a small set of exposed interactions, we're able to use Media for anything from site assets (With automated processing) to quick upload links for getting content from our clients
